Shelvin Roots by Dana Neuenschwander
Acrylic on canvas, 24x24, 2023.
$1100.00
In my acrylic paintings, I embrace the medium’s quick-drying nature to capture moments swiftly. Through vibrant hues, I amplify colors, aiming to evoke a sense of vitality. My art delves into the profound connection between myself and the Ozarks, my lifelong home. Reflecting on the landscape’s grandeur, I confront my place within it, acknowledging both my insignificance and my integral role in its ecosystem. Just as the land continually evolves and renews itself, so too do I, paralleling its endless cycles of growth and transformation in my own life’s journey.
Dana Neuenschwander is an accomplished artist and educator, holding an A.S. in Studio Art and a BFA from Drury University, as well as an MLS in Art History from Fort Hays State University. Currently serving as an adjunct instructor at Ozarks Technical Community College, Dana's passion for art extends beyond the classroom. Dana's work embodies a fusion of bold marks and profound understanding of art history. With a commitment to both creation and education, Dana continues to inspire others through her art and teachings.
