THE KANSHA CLOTH MOVEMENT
Finding Peace Within Project
The Kansha Cloth Movement.
Focusing on telling the stories of difficulties artists have experienced. We hope will bring people together with more love and understanding.
Our vision is a final piece similar to EL ANATSUI’s work; a Ghanaian sculptor as seen above.
The “fabric” created from a photo of each piece submitted, will come together in a quilt-like piece, titled: Kansha Cloth.
The Japanese word “kansha”, literally means “appreciation, gratitude” but on a metaphorical level it stands for a beautiful practice of cultivating sincere gratitude.
