For many years, my visual art was held private. It was my personal exploration of self, and I didn’t feel I needed an audience. I was learning about myself and my artistic process, while striving to uncover and express my authentic self. I had much to learn and still do! The process has been akin to excavating. Now, I feel more comfortable sharing my journey. I still search to define and manifest the authentic self, my own as well as the collective, in the process of creating my images and through writing. I am particularly drawn to themes of isolation, societal expectations, and mental health. I also seek to explore the duality inherent in human nature, expressed through both the conscious and subconscious. I find great interest and passion in this endeavor.
